Independent vault analytics
What vaults advertise.
What depositors actually earned.
VaultSight measures realized return from on-chain share price — never from a published APY — against what each vault advertised over the same window. Provenance is labeled, publishers are never merged, and the archive never stops growing.
Every party holding the data has a reason not to publish the gap
Protocols report the rate that attracts deposits. Aggregators report what keeps users on their platform. Nobody is incentivized to reconcile what depositors actually earned against what was promised.
A vault publishes an advertised rate
Deposits arrive, dilute yield, and rates decay after the number was set
What depositors actually earned goes unmeasured and unpublished
A number nobody else publishes
The capture ratio
Realized APY divided by the time-weighted advertised rate over the same window — the fraction of the advertised return depositors actually captured. Undefined, never zero, when the advertised rate isn't positive.
Multi-publisher provenance
Two publishers reporting different rates for the same vault are stored as two rows, never reconciled or averaged. Every figure is labeled with its source and smoothing window — divergence is a finding, not a data-quality bug.
An archive that compounds
Most vendor APIs retain a rolling window of a few days. VaultSight archives continuously, and every day of history becomes progressively harder for anyone else to replicate.

FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Realized APY is computed from ERC-4626 share price (
convertToAssets), never from a published rate. Advertised rate is the time-weighted average of the published APY over the same window. Capture ratio is realized ÷ advertised. Full formulas are on the methodology page.No. VaultSight publishes factual, sourced measurements of past performance. We don't rate, endorse, or recommend any vault, and past performance doesn't indicate future results.
VaultSight never has access to, or control over, your funds or private keys. We don't offer deposit, withdrawal, or routing functionality — we only read public on-chain data and archive publicly published rates.
No. VaultSight is independent of every protocol, curator, and aggregator we measure. Where we use infrastructure from a party we also cover, that relationship is disclosed on the methodology page.
Two publishers reporting different rates for the same vault are stored as two separate rows — never averaged or reconciled. The divergence is itself a finding, not a data-quality problem.
